Camping at Potters Gorge and Honeymoon Pool

June 12, 2018 Anne @ Let Me Be Free10 Comments

Potters Gorge and Honeymoon Pool

Potters Gorge has had a bit of a bush makeover (if there is such a thing) since the last time we were there. It has been upgraded to have nice large campsites, paths, shelters, BBQs and a mountain bike pump track.

The name Potters Gorge is a little misleading as there is no gorge in the area. The campground is actually situated along the banks of Wellington Dam. Read More »

Sunrise on the farm

Nothing beats a road trip, especially when the kids are not in the car!!! We loaded up the car with our camping gear and headed down the country road to my friends farm. The shearing shed had a makeover with festoon lights and other decorations ready to celebrate Liv’s 40th birthday!

Ten on Ten: Boshack Outback, getting off the grid

October 10, 2017 Anne @ Let Me Be Free22 Comments

Welcome to ten on ten! On the 10th of each month I share 10 photos taken in a day.

Boshack Outback Gate.jpgAs soon as we opened the gate we entered into a new world. Boshack Outback is more than just a farm stay. They are eco-friendly and have as little impact on the environment as possible. They are off the grid, all solar powered and drinking water comes from a fresh water spring.Read More »

Camping at Lake Navarino (Waroona Dam)

August 24, 2017August 29, 2017 Anne @ Let Me Be Free24 Comments

Camping at Lake NavarinoI stumbled across Lake Navarino on Instagram some time ago. I love finding new places to explore and that is why I have an Instagram obsession.  So when some friends asked me if I wanted to spend a weekend at Lake Navarino Holiday Park I didn’t hesitate to say yes. That and the fact it has been almost 3 months since we have been camping.  Hard to believe I know!Read More »

Round here

May 23, 2017 Anne @ Let Me Be Free30 Comments

Perth has been putting on a show with its glorious Autumn weather. We even hit the beach, kayaked and swam. It is amazing how your mood lifts as soon as your feet hit the sand. You feel relaxed as soon as you breathe the salty air deep into your lungs.

There is a tonne of street art in Darwin and there is an app that makes some of the pictures come to life. It is pretty cool.
My flight got redirect, departing a day later and going from Darwin via Brisbane to Perth.
The cattle stations in the Territory look a bit different to the ones in the West. Bloody stunning scenery, so green. The people are down to earth and I got to go on an airboat for the first time which was a thrill.
My mode of transport these days! A stunning view of Finniss River and Dundee Beach. Guttered I didn't spot any crocs from the air.
Todays office! Most of Kakadu is closed due to the wet season but it meant I got to see Burrungkuy a place I had not explored before. Stunning scenery, lots of bird life and incredible rock art.
I bet you can't guess where I am!
