July Moments

Perth Hail

I like to look back and reflect on the month. Sometimes a month can fly by and I think that nothing much happened. But when I look back I realise that there were lots of little moments that made it pretty special.

June was a rough month with sick children and July was not much better! We are dealing with croup at the moment. The doctor told me that it is normal for children this age to get one virus a month! We are getting two a month but who is counting!Read More »

Ten on Ten: Take me to the river

Welcome to ten on ten! On the 10th of each month I share 10 photos from our family life.

I was craving some time in nature, a craving I have on a regular basis. We filled up the picnic basket with goodies, put the kayaks on the roof of the car and set off.

Our first stop was Bells Rapids which is located in the Swan Valley.  The children lead the way so of course we were scrambling over rocks and taking every trail that caught their eye.

Milligan Island Camping Ground

MILLIGAN ISLAND CAMPING GROUND

The car and camper trailer was packed and we were ready to set off for the Easter long weekend. The only problem was we had no booking and no where to go. We hoped to get a site at Sandy Cape Recreational Park which is a first in first severed basis campground. It seems that everyone else had the same plan and the place was full to the brim.

What were we to do? Where will we stay? Suddenly I remembered a camp ground we had seen on one of our previous adventures. We headed a little further up the coast to Milligan Island Camping Ground and thankfully we managed to get a site.Read More »
