About

Welcome to Anne Adventure (formerly Let Me Be Free), a travel and lifestyle blog.

I’m Anne, and travel has always been a huge part of my life. For many years I travelled the world on a working holiday, taking on a variety of jobs along the way, including nanny, hotel receptionist, barmaid and swimming instructor at a summer camp.

When I returned to Australia, I built a career in the travel industry, negotiating hotel contracts throughout Asia and writing travel brochures. It came with a few memorable perks, including staying in beautiful hotels, complimentary spa treatments and the occasional fancy dinner, but more importantly, it deepened my love of helping people discover new places.

These days, I’ve come full circle and am once again working in the travel industry while continuing to share our family’s adventures here on Anne Adventure.

Together with my partner, Dixie, and our two children, JJ and Master B, we’re always looking for our next adventure, whether that’s a camping trip, a weekend getaway or discovering somewhere new in Australia. I’m also a qualified personal trainer who enjoys keeping active and embracing the outdoors.

Through Anne Adventure, I hope to inspire families, couples and solo travellers to explore with confidence, whether that’s travelling overseas or discovering the hidden gems in their own backyard. With both professional experience in the travel industry and a lifetime of personal adventures, I love sharing practical travel tips, destination inspiration and honest advice to help you plan your next trip.

I believe some of life’s best memories are made when we unplug from technology, spend time together and immerse ourselves in nature.
