We have camped with our children since they were infants. I must admit I was nervous when we strapped our little bundle of joy into the car and headed down a rough dirt track into the Aussie bush. People often tell me that they are envious of our adventures. We try and get away every six weeks and they are usually short camping trips. I decided to put the call out to all my friends and let them know that we were camping at Lake Brockman. Anyone was welcome to join us and to my surprise we had 11 families take up the offer. I love travel journals, my bedside drawer is full of them documenting my journeys. Often I will look back at them and reminisce about the good old days and it is surprising how much you actually forget. Will my baby sleep? This is the main thing on my mind when we go on holidays or a for a sleep over. Over the years I have always used portacots and my children have not slept well, lets face it they are like sleeping on a blank of wood! That was until I discovered The Sleepovers padded fitted sheet which is one of my essential items I take when we go camping. Having the additional padding on the mattress means that my baby has a better nights sleep plus I can rest easy knowing that it is approved by the INPAA (Infant Nursery Products Accreditation and Approval).
LocationBoshack Outback is located in the wheatbelt near the town of Bolgart which is 90 minutes from Perth. If you are travelling from Perth it is a pretty drive and I suggest stopping along the way to have a look at Noble Falls just past Gidgegannup. If you need to pick up some last minute supplies then Toodyay is a nice little town to stop in and it is located on the Avon River.Read More »
