Welcome to ten on ten! On the 10th of each month I share 10 photos from our family life.
I was craving some time in nature, a craving I have on a regular basis. We filled up the picnic basket with goodies, put the kayaks on the roof of the car and set off.
Our first stop was Bells Rapids which is located in the Swan Valley. The children lead the way so of course we were scrambling over rocks and taking every trail that caught their eye.
That is correct I am doing a course at uni on how to take a selfie! Who would have thought such a course was available. The course is actually called Photography and Social Media and the main idea is to create an online identity or brand.

The children were playing happily so I snuck on the computer to check my emails. Sitting in my inbox was an email to say that one of my readers had nominated Let Me Be Free for the Travel Blog Awards held by Mr Promocode. I was blown away to discover that some thought my content was worthy of a nomination.
The car and camper trailer was packed and we were ready to set off for the Easter long weekend. The only problem was we had no booking and no where to go. We hoped to get a site at Sandy Cape Recreational Park which is a first in first severed basis campground. It seems that everyone else had the same plan and the place was full to the brim.
What were we to do? Where will we stay? Suddenly I remembered a camp ground we had seen on one of our previous adventures. We headed a little further up the coast to Milligan Island Camping Ground and thankfully we managed to get a site.Read More »

We have camped with our children since they were infants. I must admit I was nervous when we strapped our little bundle of joy into the car and headed down a rough dirt track into the Aussie bush. We camped in a remote location with no amenities, just plenty of fresh country air and tall trees to give us shade.

People often tell me that they are envious of our adventures. We try and get away every six weeks and they are usually short camping trips. I decided to put the call out to all my friends and let them know that we were camping at Lake Brockman. Anyone was welcome to join us and to my surprise we had 11 families take up the offer. It was a wonderful getaway for everyone and most of all I loved seeing the children enjoying nature.Read More »
