As soon as this book Hello Nature arrived in the mail JJ was off with the book under arm and a magnifying glass in her hand. In search of bugs, spiders, plants and anything else she could find in our backyard. For the past few weeks she has been obsessed with the book and wanting to go on bush walks or to the beach to look for items in her book.
The book is filled with interesting facts about nature and lots of activities for the children to do. Some of the activities are simple things like collecting leaves and then drawing pictures of them. While other activities are more involved like making a bird feeder.
There is a section for each season and the activities relate to the relevant season. You don’t have to stick to the seasons as many of the activities can be done any time of the year.
Hello Nature is suitable for all nature enthusiasts aged 8 and over. JJ is a little young for the book so I am going to put it away until she is older (if I can drag it away from her!!). In the mean time I am going to get a scrap book and we will complete some of the activities in there.
Nature play is something we are passionate about in this house and Hello Nature gives us lots of activities, fascinating facts and inspiration to get out and enjoy nature. I can highly recommend it for your little nature loving children.

Oh this book looks great! What a clever way to combine a love of activity books and drawing… with a love for the outdoors. I’m always looking for ideas to get the kids outside, and as mine are a little older, I think they’d be ready for it now = Win!
I am also looking at ways to get my kids outside more. Now that JJ has started Kindy she just wants to stay home and it drives me nuts!! I think I need to get outside more than that kids.
I love the way you think. Too many kids are ‘stuck’ indoors and do not experience nature. Even when my kids, (and now grandkids) are over and we just have a little time, we go on a nature walk down our street or even in our own backyard. There is always so much to see and explore.
Great to hear you are getting your grandkids outdoors. They are lucky to have a grandparent like you who takes them on little adventures!

No problem, there is nothing like getting the kids outdoors and exploring.

It keeps them busy for ages!
