About Geocaching

We were at a bit of a loose end one Sunday afternoon so I decided it was time to try Geocaching. What is Geocaching I hear you ask? It is an outdoor treasure hunting game using a GPS. You need to navigate to a specific set of GPS coordinates and then attempt to find the geocache hidden at that location.

Geocaches can be found all over the world and the locations can be quite diverse. They may be located at your local park, at the end of a long hike, underwater or on the side of a city street.Read More »

Nature Play Passport

Nature Play have a great initiative to get children outside and exploring nature. When your child joins nature play they are issued with their very own passport. The passport can be registered online and your child selects age appropriate missions to complete. There are 10 mission pages in the passport and on completion they receive a sticker.

It is all about getting children to feel the mud between their toes, play in the rain, climb and use their imagination. It is all about being at one with nature.Read More »

Growing up in rural Western Australia if we were not at the pool we were playing in the bush, building cubby houses and riding our bikes down bush tracks.  I find it strange that time has to be made for children to play in nature or outside, I am not sure if it is just because times have changed or this is just the way it has always been in the city.Read More »
