People often tell me that they are envious of our adventures. We try and get away every six weeks and they are usually short camping trips. I decided to put the call out to all my friends and let them know that we were camping at Lake Brockman. Anyone was welcome to join us and to my surprise we had 11 families take up the offer. It was a wonderful getaway for everyone and most of all I loved seeing the children enjoying nature.Read More »
Conto Campground is located 21 kilometres south of the tourist town of Margaret River in Western Australia (270kms south of Perth). We just had a relaxing stay at Tony’s Bend Campground in Dwellingup. Our days were spent walking along the banks of the river, swimming, kayaking, warming up by the camp fire and I even managed to read my book! Something that doesn’t normally happen when you have two small children.
Dwellingup is located 100 kms south of Perth and Lane Poole Reserve is set along the banks of the Murray River. As soon as you drive into the 55,000ha reserve you are surrounded by tall Jarrah trees. The road winds its way along the river with spectacular views of the valley and river below.Read More »
Winding along the dirt track in our 4wd looking down at the valley slopes and onto the Murray River below. I was mesmerised by the stunning scenery and couldn’t wait to get to our camping spot to see what it was like.
Tony’s Bend campground is set in the Jarrah Forrest and it is where we set up our camper trailer for the weekend. Tall lean jarrah trees visible as far as the eye can see. There was little wind during our stay and just the leaves at the top of the trees were gently swaying in the breeze.
Situated on top of a limestone cliff and looking down at the beach we could see a secluded camp ground. We were driving from Port Gregory to Horrocks when we took a track off to the side to do some exploring. As we are ones who never stick to the main road we often find some awesome spots and this is how we stumbled upon Little Bay.Read More »
Port Gregory became our home for a week, we set up our camper trailer and enjoyed a peaceful stay at the Caravan Park. As soon as we arrived we were made to feel welcome. The owners were away and they had someone looking after the park. The caretakers were extremely helpful and always around the park checking things were running smoothly.Read More »
