I still like to keep up my fitness routine while we are on holiday so on our recent camping trip to Sandy Cape Recreational ParkI was making use of the area.
Swim to Rotto is a 19.7km ocean race and it is an event that I am training for. Most of my training has been in the pool so I made the use of the bay and fitted in plenty of swimming training. Dealing with the currents proves to be a bit of a challenge so it was good to get some ocean training in.
SandyCape is one of our favourite camping spots located 10 kilometres north of Jurien Bay (223km North of Perth) on Indian Ocean Drive. The turn off to the area is signed and it is a gravel road down to the camping area, all cars can access the camp area.Read More »
The children were up at the crack of dawn so we all huddled onto the main bed of our camper trailer watching the sun rise out the window and listening to the wind shake the canvas. The weather always sounds worse from inside a tent however we knew that we would not be spending the entire day on the beach at Sandy Capelike we had done the previous day.
