Welcome to ten on ten! On the 10th of each month I share 10 photos from our family life.
This month I have decided to change things up and share ten of my favourite Instagram photos from the past month.
The Avon Decent is an Iconic event here in WA. Competitors on kayaks or speed boats wind their way down (124km) the swan river over two days. Passing through farms, historic towns, national parks, vineyards and rapids before finishing in Bayswater a suburb in Perth.
Oh, how do we love nature play! Any chance to get outside, we are there. This photos just makes my heart sing! Muddy puddles and rainbows is heaven for a child.
We bought master B and pedal cart for Christmas and it has been the best investment. He is constantly tearing up and down the paths with the hugest grin on this face. Must admit that it didn’t go so well in the sand but I got a work out pushing him along. Who needs boot camp!
JJ had her first ride on a quad bike. As a mother I was terrible nervous and anxious. She loved it but was terrible serious. Dixie adjusted the throttle so the bike was going at a slow pace. This settle my nervous, just a little!
You just never know what a bike ride will bring. There was not much riding going on but plenty of tree climbing and cubby building!
I took the children to see the Eco Faeries. JJ was in awe and taking in their living green message. Master B on the other hand was not interested in singing and dancing. Instead we walked the gardens of the Henderson House and inspected this cute little insect hotel.
I love it when you have an unexpected find. I could have sat there all day watching the water rush over the rocks at Burns Beach.
Master B was obsess with Jarrah, a dog we looked after. I am seriously considering getting another dog soon.
I grew up in a small wheatbelt town which is know for wheat and wattle. This wattle is a different variety to my home town but I loved its grey leaves and vibrant yellow flowers.
There is always an opportunity to educate the children. We had some fun doing some maths with shells and also making pretty patterns in the sand.
Instagram would have to be my favourite social media platform. I love that it is so easy to browse photos that interest you by using hashtags or locations. I am constantly discovering new destinations and place to explore. It feeds my wanderlust!

Some gorgeous pics there and I think it’s good to go back and remember what you’ve done and enjoyed. I noticed a few people doing a ‘sentence a day’ wrap up at the end of July and liked the idea of revisiting those things that particularly stood out and reflecting on Instagram pics is the same. I might well (ahem) borrow the idea! #teamlovinlife
