Port Gregory became our home for a week, we set up our camper trailer and enjoyed a peaceful stay at the Caravan Park. As soon as we arrived we were made to feel welcome. The owners were away and they had someone looking after the park. The caretakers were extremely helpful and always around the park checking things were running smoothly.

It was school holidays and the park was not full, most people tend to spend a few nights in Port Gregory and then move on. Our site was at the bottom of the park with lots of other families. The children had a great time, they all got to know each other and spent hours riding their bikes around the bottom of the park.

Location

Port Gregory is located 514 kilometres north of Perth and 56km south of Kalbarri. As you come into town you go past Hutt Lagoon (Pink Lake) and the caravan park is on the left behind the general store. Port Gregory is a very small town so you can’t miss it!

Campsites

There are lots of permanent caravans within the park, 31 sites available for caravans and tents. At the top of the park, the sites have a concrete pad and then at the bottom of the park, the sites are grassed.

Cabins and cabins with en-suites are available to stay in.

Facilities

BBQ Area/Recreation Room – The bbq’s are undercover and there is plenty of room to sit with two large tables. The tables are unique as the wood comes from the old jetty. Next to the bbq’s is the recreation room which has a TV, pool table, air hockey and foosball table. There are lots of facts about the area in this room, old newspaper articles and photos of people showing off their catch!

Camp Kitchen – The kitchen is pretty small and can get a little busy at times. There is everything you need to cook up a meal and do your dishes.

Toilets and Showers – The toilets and showers are clean and functional. There are two sets of ablutions with a larger one at the top of the park and a smaller set located at the bottom of the park.

Laundry – There is a small laundry available with plenty of outdoor space to hang your clothes.

Water Tank – There are two water tanks to get your drinking water from. The water from the kitchen is not suited to drinking.

Pet-Friendly – Dogs are allowed in the park.

We had a great stay at the park, it was a nice relaxing week and we met some amazing people. The children also loved the park and didn’t want to leave!
